NPI Program Management · Vietnam
We guide US companies through every phase of new product introduction — from PLM setup and supplier sourcing to factory builds and production ramp — using our established Vietnam supply chain.
What we do
Most US companies trying to launch in Vietnam face the same wall: no supplier relationships, no PLM structure, and no one on the ground. We've already built what you need.
PLM setup & BOM management
Structure your product data from day one — BOMs, revisions, ECOs, and documentation in a system that scales with you.
Supplier sourcing & qualification
We identify, audit, and qualify factories for metal stamping, injection molding, silicone, and final assembly.
Contract manufacturer management
We negotiate contracts, define quality standards, and manage the CM relationship so you don't have to.
DFM & engineering review
Our mechanical, electrical, and software engineers review your design for manufacturability before tooling commits.
Prototype & pilot build management
We manage EVT, DVT, and PVT builds on the ground — resolving issues in real time, not across a 12-hour time gap.
Production ramp & handoff
We oversee first articles, yield ramp, and quality handoff so your product enters volume production with confidence.
How it works
A structured NPI process with clear gates, so you always know where your program stands.
We review your design, identify manufacturability risks, and align on target cost, quality, and timeline before any commitments are made.
We configure your product data in a PLM system — part numbers, BOMs, supplier assignments, and revision control — so nothing falls through the cracks.
Using our established Vietnam supplier network, we identify the right factories for your specific processes and put contracts in place.
We manage EVT and DVT builds with on-the-ground oversight — resolving issues, tracking defects, and feeding back into design revisions.
First articles, in-process quality checks, yield targets, and a clean production handoff — your program doesn't graduate until it's ready.
Why us
We're not a sourcing agent or a logistics broker. We're engineers who've built things in Vietnam, and we speak both languages.
US-based point of contact
Your program manager is in the same timezone, speaks your engineering language, and escalates issues in hours — not days.
Existing supplier relationships
We've already qualified metal stamping, injection molding, silicone, and CM partners in Vietnam. You skip years of relationship-building.
Full engineering depth
Mechanical, electrical, and software engineers on staff. We catch DFM issues before they become tooling costs.
Tariff-optimized supply chain
Vietnam's tariff position vs. China makes a compelling cost case. We help you structure programs that hold up as trade policy evolves.

Our team
We're not consultants parachuting into a new market. Our team has years of hands-on experience working with Vietnamese factories, suppliers, and contract manufacturers across mechanical, electrical, and software disciplines.
Josh Davis
Founder & NPI Program Lead
15 years leading product launches from concept to volume production. Previously led all Engineering and Program Management tasks at a consumer electronics company responsible for millions of devices manufactured per year. Has personally managed Asia and VN-based supply chain and launched dozens of projects with manufacturing at Vietnam factories.
Chrisopher Acera
Director Global Sourcing
With a Mechanical Engineering background, for over 30-years Chris is responsible for managing supplier relationships, factory audits, and on-the-ground build oversight.
Brian Tong
Vietnam Operations Lead
Hanoi-based with a manufacturing engineer background focussed on quality, fluent in English, and Mandarin, Brian bridges the communication gap that sinks most NPI programs.
Anthony Triana
Electrical Lead
30 years in product development spanning PCB design, RF/Antenna design and test fixture development. Manages EVT/DVT electrical verification and ensures issues are identified early.
SY Lee
Manufacturing Engineer
30 years in product development spanning PCB design, RF/Antenna design and test fixture development. Manages EVT/DVT electrical verification and ensures issues are identified early.
Eric Paxton
Embedded Firmware Lead
10 years in product development spanning PCB design, RF/Antenna design and test fixture development. Manages EVT/DVT electrical verification and ensures issues are identified early.
Example project
A US-based hardware startup came to us with a consumer IoT device, a tight 9-month timeline, and no Asia supply chain. Here's what we did.
Case study
Smart home environmental sensor — consumer IoT
A 3-part injection-molded enclosure with silicone gasket, custom PCB, BLE firmware, and retail packaging — manufactured and assembled in Vietnam.
18%
Under target BOM cost
2
DFM iterations before tooling
99.1%
First-pass yield at PVT
The challenge
Client had finished hardware design but zero Asia manufacturing experience. They needed a complete supply chain built from scratch — enclosure, PCB, firmware, packaging — and a CM that could scale to 50K units in year two.
What we delivered
Build timeline
Month 1–2
DFM review & PLM setup
Reviewed design files, flagged 6 manufacturability issues, set up Arena PLM with complete BOM and supplier assignments.
Month 2–3
Supplier qualification
Audited 7 factories, selected 3 — injection molder in Binh Duong, PCBA house in HCMC, and final assembly CM with packaging capability.
Month 4–5
EVT build (Engineering Validation)
20-unit build to validate mechanical fit, electrical function, and firmware stability. 14 issues logged and resolved before DVT.
Month 6–7
DVT build (Design Validation)
100-unit build for regulatory testing and reliability validation. First articles approved. Packaging dielines finalized.
Month 8–9
PVT & production ramp
500-unit pilot run with in-process QA. 99.1% first-pass yield. Full 5,000-unit production order released on schedule.
